NEET EXAM OVERVIEW

National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, which is in short called NEET.

This is a National Entrance Examination which offers the student admission in various Medical and Dental Colleges. The NEET replaced AIPMT, which was earlier proposed by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and MCI (Medical Council of India). The Exam offers an approx. of 90,000 seats (approx) in MBBS and BDS Colleges in India. Earlier, the CBSE was the conducting body of the NEET Exam, but now, the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the Entrance Exam. The Exam is conducted in the month of May every year.The exam was scrapped in 2013 but came back in 2016. NEET was held twice in 2016.NEET is a national level exam held for MBBS/BDS admissions after class 12. In 2019, around 15 lakh candidates applied for the medical exam which is expected to rise this year. NEET is conducted once a year and is the most important medical entrance examination in the country

  • Once the application fee is paid, a confirmation page or acknowledgement receipt will be generated. This means that the application of NEET 2020 has been successfully submitted.

  • A copy of the NEET acknowledgement or confirmation page will also be sent to the registered email as well the mobile number of the candidates.

  • Candidates are advised to save this acknowledgement receipt for future reference. They are also advised to take a printout of the same for reference.

1. Be familiar with the Syllabus

Yes, Foreign National can apply for NEET 2020. Students applying as Foreign Nationals must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English in Class XII with 50% marks, as per regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned University. You will be needing your passport number as ID proof to complete the registration process and take the exam

What are the duration/timings of NEET 2020?
